ABOUT THE GAME: A traditional children's toy is a cup-and-ball (or ball in a cup) or ring and pin. It is usually a wooden handle with a string tied to it and one or two cups or a spike on which the player tries to catch the ball.
HOW TO PLAY: To play, the player grasps the cup by the handle and hangs the ball freely. The player then jerks the arm holding the toy upward, aiming to catch the ball in the cup. Every time a player succeeds, he or she earns a point.
